home about work what we do the team life at o blog o so social contact home about work what we do the team life at o blog o so social contact integrated pr, digital and creative communications we are o about o hello we are an integrated pr, digital and creative communications agency that has won over 50 industry awards in the last 10 years, making o one of the most awarded agencies outside london. our approach is full circle – we are not bound by media channel, but anchor everything around great content that your customers will want to share on social media, talk about at the bus stop or click through to find your products and services. if you want word of mouth, create stuff worth sharing anon work we believe our work speaks for itself. browse our most recent projects below. dr martens lite case study: retail in aw 16/17, british footwear brand dr. martens launched its most revolutionary collection since its conception in 1960. as the hyperlocal agency for dr.martens’ network of uk stores, o’s remit was to connect with influencers on the street whose social reach is much more local. the o team outreached to a selection of local micro-influencers with a highly engaged social following and invited them into their local dr. martens store to experience the new dm’s lite collection. a creative brief was then given to challenge them to demonstrate dm’s lite in a unique and interactive way. during the campaign, our micro-influencer partners had a combined digital reach of over 350,000 people taking the dr. martens blogger network across the uk to new heights and the campaign was subsequently shortlisted for best use of social media at the cipr pride ne awards. northumbrian water innovation festival case study: events in may 2017, the o team was thrilled to be part of northumbrian water group’s first ever festival of innovation. a three-month integrated communication plan positioned nwg as a leader in innovative practice within the industry, both regionally and nationally. we achieved this by promoting knowledge of nwg’s innovation agenda amongst key stakeholders and through specialist press outreach, social media and film. we invited media guests and influential bloggers to the festival, offering behind the scenes access and interview opportunities. we also partnered with get film to project manage and produce daily round-up films and five teaser films throughout the week. producing a social content plan for the festival, we ensured that there was a broad mix of activities featured. our team were on the ground all week collecting live, reactive content along with the northumbrian water team, which was then shared across social media. the campaign was seen by over 43 million people across the uk and northumbrian water group was praised by governing bodies, including ofwat, for its innovative practices and the event was hailed an all-round huge success. moneyguru case study: consumer finance moneyguru is the uk’s newest credit comparison site, launching into the marketplace with over 1million visitors in its first year. o was brought on board to place moneyguru in the heart of the uk money scene with a pr campaign targeting the national and regional media. o has since created a content series that sees the guru providing his wisdom on everything from affording a third royal baby to understanding financial jargon and spring cleaning your credit rating. alongside a consumer relations media campaign, we developed a corporate communications campaign for its parent company quint, ensuring its reputation is built as an innovative fintech brand. award-writing has played a key role in achieving this goal, with quint receiving a queen’s award for innovation and an amazon growing business award in the same year. across 2017, quint and its moneyguru brand have appeared in the media 209 times across a range of titles including the express, the sun and yahoo finance. rust-oleum “make it yours” case study: homes & gardens rust-oleum is one of the uk’s leading paint manufacturers with an ethos to ‘make it yours’, encouraging customers to give craft and diy a go. to compete in an already busy marketplace and inspire customers to take on new projects, rust-oleum needed to harness content marketing to truly engage with both new and existing customers. o worked to create the content strategy for the launch of the new lifestyle website which aimed to inspire, educate and engage its target demographic in line with the brand ethos of “make it yours.” o also supported the brand with lifestyle pr developing a social media strategy and creating the make it yours print magazine. alongside creating content organically, we collaborated with interior bloggers and lifestyle influencers to compile a spread of beautiful photography, exciting projects and useful how-to guides. as well as exposure across the uk’s top lifestyle and interior bloggers’ channels, o achieved rust-oleum products media coverage across lifestyle titles including; your home, homemaker and grazia magazine. primula cheese case study: food and drink in 2017, primula supported the nspcc by creating limited edition nspcc primula cheese tubes, with 20% of the tube profits being donated to charity. through pr and social media, o was tasked with driving sales of the special packs by raising awareness of primula’s support for the nspcc and charitable credentials amongst the trade and consumer audience. the nspcc ethos is to allow children the freedom to dream by being free from abuse. to create synergy between the two brands we harnessed the ‘dream’ message by creating a #dreambig campaign. the primary audience of the nspcc are mothers of young children, so we involved well-known parent bloggers to introduce the campaign through their channels and partnered with eight children’s authors, some of whom were from the north east where primula cheese is based, to draw in national and regional interest. we implemented a mix of trade media outreach and encouraged audience participation by sending media and bloggers #dreambig gift packs, including a #dreambig journal and whiteboard dream bubble to share their childhood dreams across social media. all primula cheese nspcc tubes were sold in participating stores, raising £52,000 for the nspcc. parkdean resorts case study: travel with over 70 holiday parks, parkdean resorts helps holidaymakers across the uk to create amazing memories whilst on staycation or spending time at their holiday home. with parks stretching from scotland down to cornwall, we converse day in and day out with national media as well as regional and hyperlocal titles uk-wide to position parkdean resorts as the uk’s largest holiday park operator. as well as a busy press desk we manage creative campaigns, such as our ‘seasiding’ campaign content which ran across multiple channels, to encourage british holidymakers back to the seaside of their childhood. in 2017 parkdean resorts has featured in the likes of the sun, the daily mirror, the daily star, family traveller and good housekeeping. throughout 2017, parkdean resorts’ pr activities generated a digital reach exceeding 2.5 billion people. british masters case study: events the o team was thrilled to be the regional agency behind one of 2017’s biggest sporting events in the region as the british masters arrived at close house in september. in the lead up to the event, our media team worked with the european tour to ensure a consistent stream of breaking player announcements whilst local partnerships and pr stunt activity kept our regional media abreast with event news. o secured the support of regional press across the north east and northumberland, resulting in widespread media coverage across print publications, online and broadcast. the event achieved over 22m social media impressions – the highest ever for the british masters – with almost 70,000 spectators attending the tournament and £472,552 raised for the official charity graham wylie foundation. flymo
